Project Concern



Project Concern's mission is to identify unmet needs of individuals and to assist them in maintaining independence in society.  Project Concern strives to improve the lives of those the agency serves by identifying and responding to unmet needs through collaboration with other social service agencies or through development of new programs and services.

Project Concern helps homeless and low-income individuals and families, children, senior citizens, people with disabilities, and thousands of men and women in Dubuque, Delaware, and Jackson counties.

Project Concern strives to connect people to services, promote self sufficiency, provide information and advocacy, and encourage involvement.

Project Concern's services include:
  • 2-1-1 Information and Referral (I&R) 
  • Foster Grandparents
  • Homeless Prevention
  • Holiday Family Sponsorship
  • Telephone Reassurance
  • Disaster Assistance
  • Community Service Volunteers
Project Concern is funded by donations from individuals, organizations and corporations in the community; city, state and federal grants; and the United Way.
